Our Principles

Last Updated: August 2026

Why Oranro Exists

We built Oranro because we believe financial decisions deserve better tools.

Not louder opinions.

Not more notifications.

Not more predictions.

Better thinking.

Our Principles

Everything we build is guided by these principles.

1. Businesses Before Prices

Stock prices move every day.

Businesses change much more slowly.

We believe understanding the business creates better long-term decisions than reacting to price movements.

2. Evidence Before Opinions

Every conclusion should be supported by evidence.

Whenever possible, we show the information behind our research rather than asking you to trust our conclusions.

Transparency creates confidence.

3. Explainability Over Complexity

Sophisticated models should become easier to understand, not harder.

If we cannot explain how something works, we should not expect users to rely on it.

4. Long-Term Thinking Wins

Markets reward patience more often than activity.

Our platform is designed to help investors think in years rather than days.

We optimize for durable decisions instead of constant engagement.

5. Independence Matters

Our research should never be influenced by companies seeking coverage, advertisers, or payment for favorable visibility.

Trust depends on independence.

6. Uncertainty Should Be Visible

Financial markets are uncertain.

Good research communicates confidence and uncertainty together.

We would rather acknowledge uncertainty than provide false precision.

7. Technology Should Empower Judgment

Artificial intelligence should help people think better.

It should never replace critical thinking.

Technology exists to support human judgment, not remove it.

How We Make Money

Our incentives matter.

Our business model is intentionally simple.

Today and in the future, our primary revenue comes from software subscriptions.

We do not sell favorable research coverage or sell any data you maintain on the platform.

We do not accept payment from companies to improve their ratings.

We do not recommend securities for compensation.

What We Will Never Optimize For

We will not build features simply because they increase screen time.

We will not encourage unnecessary trading.

We will not use fear or urgency to drive engagement.

We believe a successful financial platform should help users become calmer, more informed, and more confident.

Our Commitment

If a feature makes you:

  • understand businesses better,

  • think more independently,

  • make more informed decisions, or

  • document their reasoning more clearly,

  • better manage expenses/spending

  • better improve your financial wellbeing

then it belongs in Oranro.

If it merely increases clicks, it does not.

Looking Ahead

Our products will evolve.

Technology will evolve.

Markets will evolve.

These principles should not.

They are intended to guide every decision we make, from product design to customer support.
